Hello World! I'm Angel Ramirez . I am a Molecular biologist and also a web developer and data scientist from Barranca, Peru who loves technology, travels and peruvian food.

During the covid-19 pandemic, I learned how to programming for analysis and modeling epidemiological data with machine learning. I liked it so much so in addition to clinical and molecular testing, I also do data analysis and design my own website.

Early Research

Since undergraduate I have been involved in the development and design of multiple investigations in different fields such as cellular damage and protection evidenced in genes or genotoxicity, diagnosis through molecular tests and analysis of genetic and genomic information and its implication in epidemiological outbreak control.

Evaluation of the genotoxicity and antigenotoxicity of Vasconcellea candicans by Somatic Mutation and Recombination Test (SMART).
Molecular cloning of the genome of the avian infectious bronchitis coronavirus.
Standardization and design of Real-Time PCR multiplex for clinical diagnostics.

Clinical Laboratory

I have worked as a biologist and clinical laboratory manager in different hospital settings. During my professional experience, I highlight my work in a rural health center in the Peruvian jungle, where despite the shortages I had a great team with which we were able to face the beginnings of the pandemic and help those most in need during the years 2019 and 2020 in Aucayacu, Peru.

Renovation and acquisition of clinical equipment.
Epidemiological surveillance of Covid-19 successful.
Design and implementation of laboratory biosafety and quality control protocols.

My main productive activity is diagnostics through molecular testing, which has been mainly focused on the epidemiological detection and tracking of SARS-COV-2 virus. The field of genetic analysis and the use of molecular biology tools are increasingly accepted as powerful tools for medicine and industry.
